This is the specimen grade rough of Turkish limb cast agates I sourced in Turkey in December of 2025. This listing is sold by weight..these agates form inside of the casts, left by the shape of petrified wood. Some of them are fully agatized. Some of them contain partial wood structures both on the inside and outside. .
The lapidary grade rough is mostly more broken pieces, they are great for domepolishing, or for cutting cabs out of a very unique material, which is absolutely fresh to market! They also may contain more quartz than the specimen grade. .
The size ranges from small pieces at around 2 inches, up to large chunks for specimens or spheres in a size of about 7 inches..
Please make a note with your order, what size of rough you would prefer to get. Size ranges from about 2 inch in diameter up to 7 inches..
This is the most affordable grade of the limbcasts, larger quantites benefit from a heavy discount! .

The rough is also available as individual higher quality smaller sized specimens in price categories of €20, €35, €50, €75, €100 per piece. Discounts for larger quantity orders apply. There is also a listing with a specimen rough grade by weight, which will mostly contain more complete larger sized specimen material that can be cut. The lapidary material is not intended to be cut in half for most pieces. Disclaimers: The pictures of polished pieces are for reference only and are not representative of what most of these will look like once cut! Rough stones are always a gamble. Sometimes they look bad and turn out nice and sometimes they look nice and turn out bad. Be aware of this risk!
