Island Agate L

This is the official listing for our "Island Agates." They are available in two select sizes: Size L (specimens under 3 inches) and Size XL (specimens over 3 inches).

These are arguably some of the most mysterious agates on the market today, as their exact location remains completely undisclosed to the public. While visually similar material has emerged from Madagascar and Indonesia in the past, none of these speculations have officially confirmed or denied. All we know for certain is that they are sourced from an island which is exactly how they earned their name.

A defining characteristic of these agates is their naturally tumbled exterior, smoothened out over time by rivers or coastal shores. Because they went through this process of secondary transportation rather than being mined directly in situ, they feature a distinctively rounded and weathered backside.

On the inside, they typically reveal incredible depth, beautiful swung banding, and occasionally a striking parallax effect. Due to natural weathering, the exposed "windows" on the outside often hint at completely different colors than what actually lies within. This makes them incredibly exciting to work with, as they are almost always good for a surprise once cut.

The quantities I have of this mysterious material are highly limited, so if you want to add some to your collection, you should probably grab yours soon!
