Turkish limbcast rough Agate for 20€ per piece

Turkish limb cast agates are a relatively new discovery on the market.

From my humble experience and expertise, they are some of the finest if not the finest agate replacements after wood in the entire world!

Only a few years ago was when the first pieces came up on international markets. It didn’t take long until most of the surface was collected empty.

While the surface pieces could be beautiful, they also had a tendency for heavy fractures, how it naturally happens, because of exposure to the wild weathers.

After a bit of silence for a year, this is now the more heavier mined material from deeper under ground.

Often leaving the structure of the wood better preserved, and the agate with less fractures. The colors and banding seem more distinct and brighter too!

By what I can say, this is the best run that has been up to market of this material so far… and who knows how long it will continue.

All the different qualities are graded in categories based on different factors such as: external structure of the cast, wood remains, quality of agate.
