This week, we’re excited to introduce you to two extraordinary types of agates, each with a unique story, appearance, and most importantly, a mysterious origin.
Island Agates
The name ‘Island Agates’ doesn’t come from their formation or appearance, but from their secret origin. Since the exact location is not disclosed, they’re sold simply as „Island Agates.“ These stones stand out with their smooth, almost „rolled“ exterior, shaped by rivers that transported and polished them over time. Inside, they often feature fine, flowing banding patterns. In addition to the limited rough stones available, we now offer a selection of polished Island Agates, perfect for collectors who want to admire the inner beauty of these stones right away.
Patagonian Agates
Patagonian Agates also boast a rounded, smooth exterior, though their polish comes from desert winds that have shaped them over time. These stones, sourced from Berwyn and La Manea in Argentina, are now new on our website.
The weeks addition to our website is expanded to include agates from other rare locations around the world.
