Dear collectors of fine Argentinean agates,
This week I have been cutting some of the oldest rough stones I own! They’ve been sitting with me for over a decade.
While I know some Argentinean agates can cut nice, I have personally not been lucky with them very often. So I just preferred to cut other agates instead.
Argentinean agates from the San Rafael area, also known as “Condor” agates, are known for their thick banding and chromatography.
The pieces I have been cutting this week are from a sublocale of condor agates, known as Sierra Pintada. They don’t form in a round type like other pieces in the area, but often very sharply angled in a different form of voids of the host rock.
Check out my website to see a full batch of new agates from Argentina available, and make sure to check out the “Sale” section.
I just discounted a couple dozen new pieces to add to this section. To make it a total of 222 discounted specimens. Some very recent pieces are in there now too. It's definitely worth browsing the website!!
There is a 20% automatic discount available on my website if more than 5 specimens are purchased at once, and it can also be applied to specimens that are already discounted!
Also: I just uploaded a new sales batch of Moroccan, German Waldhambach, Baker Ranch and Coyamito agates to my Facebook page. I plan on doing this roughly every two weeks from now on, on a non-regular basis. So it’s worth tuning in once in a while.
Wishing you a great weekend,
Joshua
