Riskantes Business mit Recuts

Laguna agates in Tucson

Dear collectors,

Tucson has been treating the absolutely fantastic this year! I had so much fun being at my new location, close to the Gem Shop at the Tucson Show place. I love it here and look forward to returning for the next few years to make it my permanent home base!

I’ve never sold more agates at any other show ever before, and I so much appreciate Every single one who drove out here to say hello and follow my journey of growth.

About two dozen people came to visit me, take selfies and told me if they just got here to the shop to meet me. The impact and growth on my YouTube channel really brought so many new aspects to my life, and it is an absolute pleasure to be able to follow my dreams wherever they may take me.

I think in a growing market where Laguna agates get less and less affordable, I really succeed by bringing a wide variety of more affordable agates to the market.

However, I still really enjoy Mexican Agates. It just gets more and more difficult to find anything reasonably priced anywhere. One way that has been working out for me to be able to get good quality pieces, and not entirely crushed my savings, is by buying slightly flawed specimens in slightly lower price points. For this reason, whenever I see a Laguna agate where I imagine a potential of placing a recut, I will go for it!

Often when I buy specimens like this, it’s also not primarily for financial reasons, but rather for my own suspense to put a challenge on myself and see if my vision of placing recuts match with the reality of the stone.

Tag along with me in this week’s YouTube video to see how three good-looking Lagunas got a little makeover.

Please enjoy watching those pieces getting cut, and maybe you’d like to follow up and purchase one or a few of them in this week’s update on my website

Wishing everyone a great weekend,

Joshua

P.S. I still have a few open face time sessions today. Contact me if you’d like to book one and be shown around my little museum. :)
