Parpart Sammlung + Live Show

The era of an old stock collection! + Live Show

Dear collectors of fine, rare and historic agates,

This week I bought the largest collection I have bought all year! The collection was owned by Grit and Peter Parpart, who have been a social anchor point for agate collecting in the last decades in Germany!

We have been good friends ever since I met them and was still a young adult, We share a lot of great memories from shows, and did several trips to Morocco together.

Together with them, I went on my first foreign trip, where it all began with my dream career as a high-end agate dealer.

Their main focus of the collection is rare agate localities from Morocco as pioneers in the field, they discovered the incredible Al Hama locality, which produces some of the most intense colored agates in all of Morocco. But also many other localities in the Middle Atlas Mountains have been in the center of their passion.

As things have changed in Morocco a lot in the last few years, so has also changed their drive to hunt down these wonderful agates.

Over the years they have certainly built one of the best collections in the world from Morocco, with their main focus for rare locations in the Middle Atlas Mountains around the localities of Aouli, Kerrouchen, Ifrih Enshabar, Bou Hamza, and more..

Ever so more, I am exceptionally grateful, that they put the trust in me with my expertise and knowledge to find new homes for many of these specimens they have been treasuring for so long.

I am buying collections every year, so if you are thinking about letting go of your collection, I will always have an open ear for you!

The first 24 pieces of the Parpart collection are NOW available on my website.

On YouTube, you can see the entire collection and parts of the process I am going through, when buying a large collection like this.

In a 5-hour-long Live show on YouTube this Sunday, starting 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern, I will be offering more, and also more affordable, specimens from their collection.

If you haven't purchased at one of my YouTube Lives before, make sure to register through this Google forms link, so I can verify you as a buyer.

Grit and Peter have been collecting for many decades, with a passion that was looking for a match!

Building their own machines for cutting and polishing in their basement, to go through the entire process, from hunting to cutting to polishing.

It is all a process of learning and improving, and not all the pieces from the early start of the collection have the same high polishing standards as you are used to from my own production.

All the best and see you soon,

Joshua
