As vein agates, typical Crazy Lace material is among the most affordable rough stones on the Mexican market. They are perfect for anyone starting out because when you cut them open, you are almost always instantly rewarded with beautiful, wild banding patterns. However, these standard pieces are often less appealing to high-end collectors, as their formation in rock veins means the banding is almost always broken or incomplete.

But that is exactly where it gets exciting for top-tier collectors: only a tiny fraction of these agates form a completely closed, "full-face" pattern. When you do find one of these rare specimens, they are spectacularly beautiful, fascinating, and, of course, highly valuable.
