malawi-membrane-curls
Malawi "Membrane Curls"

This lot features rough agates from the Membrane-curl locality in southern Malawi. These are the only agates in the entire region that show these unique inclusions.

The stones shown in the photos are example pieces taken directly from our test-cutting video on YouTube. The first 10 orders of this material will receive a free matching pair from the video added to their shipment!

Most of these nodules are fully intact, and judging the internal quality from the outside is often nearly impossible.

The pieces range in size from approximately 3 to 6 cm, available in 1kg, 3 kg, 5 kg, and 20 kg lots.

If you are comfortable hand-cutting your agates, you will have an advantage here as it saves a lot of time. However, I have personally slabbed most of mine using a vise in the past, as it gives you a much more precise cut.

Stock is extremely limited, making this a truly one-time offering. Once they are gone, they will not be back anytime soon.

Disclaimer: The photos of the cut and polished pieces serve as examples only. They do not guarantee that every single rock will look identical inside once sawn open!

Working with rough rock is always a bit of a gamble. Sometimes an unassuming piece on the outside turns out completely mind-blowing, and other times it goes the other way. That excitement and risk are simply part of the game when opening raw nodules! If you prefer to play it safe, I recommend checking out our selection of pre-polished agates, where you know exactly what you are getting.
